What Happens in a Session
We begin slowly, giving your body time to arrive and settle.
From there, you'll move into a guided breathwork journey inward. Whatever comes up, emotion, sensation, stillness, is welcome. There's no right way to experience it.
We close with time to land, integrate, and share if you feel called.
Sessions are held virtually, so you get to create your space. Candles, blankets, dim lighting. Make it the coziest corner of your home.

Contraindications
HOW TO DETERMINE IF YOU ARE A CANDIDATE:
Below is a list of contraindications for conscious, connected breathing. If you are on the contraindication list, you are not a candidate for full breathwork, but I am happy to discuss modified, gentle breathwork with you for a different time if your condition should permit it, or Functional Breathwork in order to work with your breathing pattern.
Note: Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and also can result in intense physical and emotional release. As a precaution, the following conditions are contraindicated in certain breathwork practices. It is crucial that you inform your breathwork practitioner if any of the following conditions are relevant to you:
- Pregnancy (at any stage)
- Severe PTSD or trauma
- Actively using recreational drugs
- Taking any medication that alters brain chemistry like anti-anxiety, anti-depressant, ADD, OCD medications, etc.
- Detached Retina
- Glaucoma
- Kidney disease
- High Blood Pressure
- Cardiovascular disease, including angina, previous heart attack or stroke
- Diagnosis of aneurysm of any kind
- Uncontrolled thyroid conditions
- Diabetes (any type)
- Severe Asthma— for mild to moderate asthma, we can discuss but you must bring your inhaler to the session
- Epilepsy
- History of Seizures
- Prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or previous psychiatric condition
- Severe psychosomatic disorders
- Recent surgery, stitches or injury
- Hospitalization for any psychiatric condition or emotional crisis within the last 10 years
- Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in any activities that involve deep physical and/or emotional release
- The mRNA COVID Vaccination: At this time, clients must wait a minimum of 60 days after their final dosage with NO SIDE EFFECTS to engage in Breathwork.
CONTROL PAUSE:
The control pause is a measurement used to assess your breathing pattern. My number one priority is your health, and if your breathing pattern is, at a baseline, quite a bit less than optimal, it is my professional opinion that this kind of breathwork is not a good fit at this time. The reason being, most people who score below 15, are over-breathing at rest. This means that if you spend 45 minutes breathing rapidly, your body is going to have a much harder time recalibrating after the journey and it’s reinforcing the over-breathing pattern.
That being said, if your Control Pause (CP) is less than 15 seconds, you won’t be breathing with us this time in the Conscious Connected Breathwork. However, inside the functional breathing program, getting your breathing pattern to a point where your score is above 25 and it is working FOR you, not against you, is our focus. This transformation allows you to ease into Conscious Connected Breathwork with confidence that your breath returns to a slow and soft rhythm after each session and allows you to experience the magic of the journey. If your CP is between 15-25 seconds, you are able to participate, but I highly suggest talking to me about the functional breathing program as it is an indication that there’s room for improvement in your breathing pattern and that symptoms in your life could improve with an improvement in CP.
CP Scorebreakdown:
Poor: Less than 15 seconds (cannot participate in Conscious Connected Breathwork)
Room for improvement: Between 15 and 25 seconds
Good: Above 25 seconds
Great: 40+ seconds
Instructions for testing your Control Pause:
Breath normally for 1 minute
Take a normal breath in and out through your nose
After the exhale, pinch your nose with your fingers to hold your breath
Time the number of seconds until you feel the first involuntary movements of your breathing muscles (diaphragm, throat, etc.)
The number of seconds you can hold your breath until that first physiological urge to breathe is your Control Pause score.
Please make sure you are not on the contraindication list to take a journey.
